Collin | Milton High School Class of 2011- Senior Rep

It is hard to believe it is that time again, but here it is. Time for Senior Reps. Meet my first photographed Senior Rep, Collin. There will be more to come in the next few weeks. Collin is a current year Junior at Alpharetta’s Milton High School. We met this weekend to have our mini session. I photographed his older sister two years ago and was delighted when Mom emailed me to photograph her son as well. Many of you may remember Rachel his older sister. I am not sure how you can forget her eyes. Simply stunning! I wondered if Collin’s would be the same and yep… they pretty much are completely stunning. I am definitely looking forward to warmer weather and our full session together.

Seniors Wanted

Applications are now being sent out for High School Senior Reps. As in past years I will be choosing several students from several North Metro Atlanta High Schools. My Senior Reps help me spread the word about AGR Photography’s Senior Portrait Program. This year I am changing up the Rep program a bit. If you are a Senior (or know someone who is) that is looking for unique, personal portraits contact me at agrphotography@gmail.com for an application. I have several on board already so don’t wait too long to apply. I only have room for a few from each school. So what does a Senior Rep receive you ask? If you are chosen you will receive

50 unique business cards to pass out to your friends
1- 30 minute mini session to create images for your business cards and to used on Facebook
1 full senior session to be scheduled after May 1st
$35 print credit for every booked Senior session you refer

Elise- Class of 2010 | Milton High School Senior Photographer

A couple of Saturdays ago I met up with Elise for her Senior Portraits. Unlike today’s weather it was gorgeous. Sunny, blue skies and 75 degrees. I met Elise in our small downtown area which turned out to be at the same time as a Fall celebration. So needless to say we were not alone! On a positive note it forced me to find some new spots that I have not explored so that turned out to be a very cool thing. Elise is so quiet and polite. I think at first she might have been not too sure about the whole photography session thing but by the end she had loosened up and was showing her true potential in front of the camera. And did I mention she was tall? Again not sure what is going on with all the tall HS kids today but she was at least a foot taller than me. Now most of you that know me are probably snickering because you know that a foot taller than extra short is not uncommon. LOL! Don’t worry I brought my ladder along. I do so enjoy Senior sessions… and Elise didn’t disappoint. We had a great time and I have lots of images I really like. Here are just a few of them.

This one may be my favorite… I love how the rich, dark green colors frame her face.

Jackie – Class of 2010

Meet Jackie… a resent High School Senior I had the pleasure of meeting with not once, but twice. We had the funniest session. We were dodging rain clouds for sure but as most of you who live in GA know most afternoons your chances of getting a pop up shower are pretty slim. Well we meet around 7:00 in the evening and it was definitely cloudy and I knew there was a chance we would get wet but we decided to go for it anyway. We were at this awesome abandoned old farm that I just got permission to use for sessions and we had walked out (kind of far) into the field to this old barn, when you guessed it. The bottom fell out! We ran into the run shed of the barn thinking it would pass over quickly… yeah not so much. We must have been out there for 15 minutes or so when we decided to run back to the van. LOL! It was funny. But I did get some very cool shots in the run in shed while it was DUMPING outside. It makes the background look foggy which is really cool and the lighting was so yummy and moody. So in the end it worked beautifully. But since we got cut short Jackie came back another day so we could finish the session. This time it was 2:00 in the afternoon and it was bright and sunny. TOTALLY different light. Which was really neat when I put her slideshow together. We also went somewhere different. A little field with some gorgeous old trees. In the end I think Jackie ended up with quite a unique session. Here are some of my faves.

Kayla | Class of 2010, Milton High School | Alpharetta Senior Photographer

It has been a while since I have had a senior session and I enjoyed Kayla so much. We chatted and talked and in between all that took some great images. She is such a natural in front of the camera. So together and sure of herself. I love to see that in these young ladies. It makes me think she will be successful in all that she does. Girl Power! So I know Kayla and her mom are waiting for these… hope you enjoy.

Meet Sarah… What a gorgeous girl. She was a joy to photograph and we had a blast! I am so fortunate to have the best clients around. They let me just do my thing. Sarah herself is into photography so I chatted a bit with her about that. Always fun to talk shop with some that is truly interested. Check out some of the fun things we did!

Whew! I am tired…

lots of traveling for me lately and I even though I am no stranger to lack of sleep traveling across the country twice in a month is a lot. It seems to take me a week to get myself straight again. Anyway it was all worth it. I met some fantastic women and men this weekend and made some new friends that I will cherish for a long time. The speakers and teachers that I got to talk to and watch work were nothing short of amazing. They have my head spinning with new ideas for my business, after all that is what these workshops are for right?

Here are few images from my trip. These were just some of the model shots I got from our two days of shooting.

This shot below is Richard from RedLeaf. Him and his wife Amy were one of the speakers.
They are nothing short of incredible and very inspiring.
That silver thing in the front is a reflector. He was showing us how he and Amy use it on their shoots.

Class of 2010 High School Senior Model Search | Alpharetta High School Senior Photographer

Well it is that time again… I am looking for my representatives for class of 2010. What do my High School Senior Models get you ask? Well the answer to that is LOTS! They get a very reduced session fee, their own business cards and discounts galore. Last year my Seniors worked hard for me and made my first official year of photographing Seniors a huge success. I am hoping to find the same willing Seniors to help me this year. I already have a few people who have signed up so space is limited. Please contact me ASAP if you would like an application to be a Model for AGR Photography. I would like some guys and some girls so tell all your friends to take a look at my website and see if they are interested. I am looking for models from Milton, Alpharetta, Cherokee, and Roswell. So if you are a current year Junior and would like your Senior Pictures to be something unique and all about you, give me a call.

Kyle – Class of 2009 | Milton High School Senior Photographer

Last weekend was just beautiful. I was thrilled to get to photograph my first Senior since the Fall on such a gorgeous day. Kyle was so fun, different and great to hang out with. He is a very interesting person with some great stories to tell, even at the young age of 17 (or are you 18 ). One of which is that he is a Hockey Player for Milton. My family are big Hockey fans… actually it is the only sport we watch. (Hubby is Canadian) My 7 year old LOVES Hockey so when I told him I photographed a Hockey Player his eyes got as big as saucers and he said “REALLY?” Too funny. Kyle has been playing for years and it truly is part of who he is. You can tell by the way he talks about it. Kyle and his mom also had some request, which I always enjoy, so I stepped out of the box that I am normally in to do some edgy… more personal shots. In the end, I am thrilled with the results. Different for me, but SO Kyle. Check out a few faves below.
