Well she is offically 4 months old and by now almost 5! Where does time go? I noticed shortly after her 4 month birthday that she had found her feet. It is so cute to watch her concentrate on grabbing them. Such a small task requires such focus and is so rewarding and entertaining in the end. Don’t you wish it was always like that? Just the simple things would make you happy. We adults always make things so complicated… it is sad really.
For Lydia the 3 to 4 month mark was a big one. Full of milestones. We moved her to her very own room in her very own bed around 4 months and she is doing wonderful. Mommy had a real moment of reflection that first night. As I sat rocking/feeding her in the same chair, in the same spot, in the same room, about to put her down in the same bed that I did Garrett 5 years ago. It was a real moment for me. I just couldn’t believe that 5 years had past and this was my third time doing this. It really does make you stop and realize that these days of childhood are so short. We have to make sure and remember that on days when things are crazy and stressful. And believe me with 3 of them those days definitely happen. But I know one day in the very near future I will miss these crazy days and wonder “when did all my babies grow up?”
Anyway, here is a glimpse of our Lyddie… 4 months old.
