Friends | Alpharetta Child Photographer

Friends… we all have them right?  We all sometimes lose touch with them right?  Sometimes that is for the better and then there are other times when something happens that makes us realize that it was not a wise thing to let that person slip away from us.  A short while ago I had the opportunity to photograph one of my friends that at some point I let slip away.  The reasons were unclear and at this point not important but in January it was painfully clear to me that it was not the right choice to make.

Meet Beth… my very dear friend.  One of the strongest woman I know.   She is deeply spiritual and solid in her faith, an amazing mother who would go to the end of earth for her kids,  a caring, wonderful friend, and more recently a single mom.  Beth lost her husband tragically in January and then her beloved father in June.  It has been a devastating year for her but still she pulls herself up by her boot straps and carries on.  She is strong for her children and knows that she has to be there to support them.  Her family is 100% behind her and supports her every step of the way as do her close circle of friends.  We all adore her and are blessed to know her.  I am blessed to call her a friend.  Thankful I could help her this year no matter how small that help seemed.  I just hope she knows I love her dearly.

We decided this summer that a photo session was in order.  We needed to celebrate the blessings in this family’s life.  And there are many.  Two of them are these two beautiful children. A and E are so dynamic and full of life.  Miss A was a complete joy to photograph.  A natural beauty that was totally comfortable in front of the camera.  She needed very little instruction and she just shined when I pointed the camera at her.  It just made my heart smile to see her so full of life and letting her beauty come through.  And Mr. E!!!  Love his sweet little, energetic self.  He has held a special spot in my heart.  He has the most kind heart and although he is sometimes, um how shall we say it?  Busy… He is just a joy to know and watch grow.  I also told Beth that she MUST be in some.  I insisted.  She was not happy about it but did it to humor me. :)  I am so glad she did.  They are some of my favorite images from the day.

So I dedicate this post to my friend Beth… somebody that inspires me daily, whom I adore and cherish as a friend.  And someone I will not let slip away again.

Beth - God has blessed you with many talents, Alisha Robertson, and capturing the inner beauty of a person with a camera is one of them. WOW! Even though the circumstances of how we came back in touch were tragic, God blessed us with a second chance. True friendships never fade. When duty calls, your true friends step up no matter the challenges. So thank you for the love, support, friendship and these beautiful memories of my growing children. I love you, my friend, and look forward to many years to come.October 30, 2009 – 12:43 pm

Tracy E. - The blessing is two fold…for you to have such an amazing friend, and for her to have such an amazing friend in you. We women are remarkable in countless ways, but continue to be her support if she needs you. You captured such beauty in these photographs. Continued blessings!October 30, 2009 – 12:11 pm
