Katie is not only a rising Senior and a beautiful girl but she is also my cousin’s “little girl.” A couple of weeks ago I drove up to Rome, GA (whole family in tow) to capture Katie at this wonderful time in her life. I knew she was beautiful and I knew she would be so much fun to photograph with that gorgeous red hair and green eyes but what I didn’t know is how much the camera would love her. She is truly a natural in front of it and made my job so easy. Not to mention that shooting at Berry College was so exciting. There are so many perfect spots on campus… although our favorite was Frost Chapel. High on a hill top this amazing place looked more like a castle than a church. We could have spent hours there. I know the whole family is anxiously awaiting the images so I wanted to give them a few to look at while I finish editing them. So let’s meet Katie…

Collin – Class of 2011

I had the privalage of photographing Collin’s beautiful older sister and I was thrilled when mom called to set up Collin’s session. Collin is such a polite young man and tall I might add, but then who isn’t next to me. We had a good time tromping through the grass and looking for fun places to shoot. Thank you Collin for a fun session.

Collin | Milton High School Class of 2011- Senior Rep

It is hard to believe it is that time again, but here it is. Time for Senior Reps. Meet my first photographed Senior Rep, Collin. There will be more to come in the next few weeks. Collin is a current year Junior at Alpharetta’s Milton High School. We met this weekend to have our mini session. I photographed his older sister two years ago and was delighted when Mom emailed me to photograph her son as well. Many of you may remember Rachel his older sister. I am not sure how you can forget her eyes. Simply stunning! I wondered if Collin’s would be the same and yep… they pretty much are completely stunning. I am definitely looking forward to warmer weather and our full session together.

Elise- Class of 2010 | Milton High School Senior Photographer

A couple of Saturdays ago I met up with Elise for her Senior Portraits. Unlike today’s weather it was gorgeous. Sunny, blue skies and 75 degrees. I met Elise in our small downtown area which turned out to be at the same time as a Fall celebration. So needless to say we were not alone! On a positive note it forced me to find some new spots that I have not explored so that turned out to be a very cool thing. Elise is so quiet and polite. I think at first she might have been not too sure about the whole photography session thing but by the end she had loosened up and was showing her true potential in front of the camera. And did I mention she was tall? Again not sure what is going on with all the tall HS kids today but she was at least a foot taller than me. Now most of you that know me are probably snickering because you know that a foot taller than extra short is not uncommon. LOL! Don’t worry I brought my ladder along. I do so enjoy Senior sessions… and Elise didn’t disappoint. We had a great time and I have lots of images I really like. Here are just a few of them.

This one may be my favorite… I love how the rich, dark green colors frame her face.

Jackie – Class of 2010

Meet Jackie… a resent High School Senior I had the pleasure of meeting with not once, but twice. We had the funniest session. We were dodging rain clouds for sure but as most of you who live in GA know most afternoons your chances of getting a pop up shower are pretty slim. Well we meet around 7:00 in the evening and it was definitely cloudy and I knew there was a chance we would get wet but we decided to go for it anyway. We were at this awesome abandoned old farm that I just got permission to use for sessions and we had walked out (kind of far) into the field to this old barn, when you guessed it. The bottom fell out! We ran into the run shed of the barn thinking it would pass over quickly… yeah not so much. We must have been out there for 15 minutes or so when we decided to run back to the van. LOL! It was funny. But I did get some very cool shots in the run in shed while it was DUMPING outside. It makes the background look foggy which is really cool and the lighting was so yummy and moody. So in the end it worked beautifully. But since we got cut short Jackie came back another day so we could finish the session. This time it was 2:00 in the afternoon and it was bright and sunny. TOTALLY different light. Which was really neat when I put her slideshow together. We also went somewhere different. A little field with some gorgeous old trees. In the end I think Jackie ended up with quite a unique session. Here are some of my faves.

Miss P- 4 months | Alpharetta Baby Photographer

Oh little Miss P, please don’t grow so fast. I am always amazed at how my clients kids seems to grow as fast as mine. I felt like it was just yesterday I was photographing Miss P as a newborn. Just yesterday I got the news she had arrived early but was in the NICU! I look forward to each and every session with this family. Their kids are so good to me and so adorable. They make my job so so easy. I know mom is waiting on these images and don’t worry mom, your gallery should follow soon.

And hello blue eyes!

It has been a while since I have had a senior session and I enjoyed Kayla so much. We chatted and talked and in between all that took some great images. She is such a natural in front of the camera. So together and sure of herself. I love to see that in these young ladies. It makes me think she will be successful in all that she does. Girl Power! So I know Kayla and her mom are waiting for these… hope you enjoy.

It’s raining babies | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

What a week… so many newborns. Such fun! I have so enjoyed spending time with so many sweet babies. Makes me love my job that much more. And I am not done yet. One more tomorrow to finish off my marathon of newborns. I am so excited to share Baby B with you. He was not the sleepiest guy but once we wore him out he was awesome. He was so easily molded into different shapes and my oh my, was he ever cute. I have enjoyed spending time with Mom and Dad too… they are just awesome people and I look forward to working with their new family as B grows.

And one where he was awake but so peaceful.
