Families of five hold a special place in my heart. I am sure you can guess why. Being a part of a family of five I understand the dynamic, the chaos and the fun of them. This particular family is very close to my heart for many reasons. I have been friends with mom for a while now and her youngest and my middle are only a day apart. We were in a playgroup together for a while and even though our kids are both in school now we still see each other for get togethers. So even though I have known them for a while this is my first session with them. I had so much fun with them all. The kids were silly and goofy and put up with all my requests in stride. The little guy, Mr. J, was a hoot to work with. I find those 3rd children are always such characters, mine is no exception.
I think that this family has the prettiest eyes I have ever seen. Mom’s eyes will stop you in your tracks and her kids all seem to have inherited them. The camera loved them. I had so many favorites but I have chosen a few to share with all of you.
Photographer’s notes
These were shot at one of my favorite spots. The light in the am is amazing and the possibilities are endless. This session was shot with my 50mm 1.2L lens mostly. I did use the 24-70mm 2.8L for some of the family shots near the end. I just bought that lens and it is becoming very useful in large groups.
